Welcome to the Website of

Worcester Mountaineering Club

WMC is a small club that has, for the last 30 years, provided a forum for locally based mountaineers who wish to share their interest with like-minded individuals.

Most of our members are climbers but we also participate in a wide range of associated activities including walking, ice-climbing, alpinism, mountain biking, photography and of course, keeping up our strength on indoor climbing walls.

We regularly hold joint meets with our neighbouring 'Bromsgrove and Redditch' Club [BRMC] and have preferential access to their hut in North Wales.

If you over 18, have a spirit of adventure, and enjoy spending your time in high places we would love to hear from you. Please explore the rest of our website then come along either to Martley Climbing Wall (map) on a Wednesday evening or the Albion public house (map) on Bath Road in Worcester from 9pm on a Thursday. We look forward to seeing you there. Alternatively, contact Simon Whitehead on telephone number 07837 112 759 for more information.

If it is instruction you are seeking then we can recommend the National Mountain Centre at Plas-y-Brenin which

runs excellent introductory courses based in Snowdonia, or ask at the Gloucester and/or Martley climbing walls.

WMC is affiliated to the British Mountaineering Council
